Connecticut is not a very big state; it actually ranks #48 on a list of 51 states for size. It is one of the smallest states we have. That being said, there are some good options for audio programs locally. Additionally, you have the option of relocating to nearby Massachusetts or New York for even more options. If you would prefer to stay home, read up on long distance learning.

More on Connecticut
Connecticut, also known as “The Nutmeg State”, has a rich history. It was the home state of Mark Twain, ESPN, and Harriet Beecher. Unlike some other states, Connecticut gives a great example of all 4 seasons. So, if you like relatively mild summers, cold winters with snow, crisp autumns, Connecticut might be something to look into. Connecticut does have a high cost of living compared to the national average; however, the salary is also higher. The average annual salary of an audio engineer in this state is approximately $86,000. This salary is pretty high compared to both the national and Connecticut income averages. So, you could live comfortably, depending on your standard of living. Obviously if you feel the need to buy the best of everything, you might not feel like you are making decent money. It is a beautiful state, which is part of the New England states. That being said, it has a long history of patriotism, Puritanism, and a very busy culture.
